The Edge Node x AMS

This poster is the final product of the design and research project ‘The Paradigm of the Edge Node’. This project proposes the addition of a new component to the data-infrastructure: the edge node. Because, as more and more people connect to the internet, the current infrastructure will be unable to handle the massive amount of data that must be transported, processed and stored. 

The poster translates the proposed network of edge nodes into an abstract urban environment by projecting it onto the city of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The design was inspired by the abstract structures of chip layouts, which resemble city plans.
